Welcome to my little corner of the internet! You’ve landed on the blog of Pim van Helvoirt. I work in IT.

From the moment I laid my hands on a computer, I was hooked. The potential of technology to transform lives and reshape industries fueled my curiosity, and I knew I had found my calling.

In my free time I like to play chess and, if the weather allows it, I like to ride my racing bike. During my studies I’ve been very active in the student participation, for example as the chair of the Central Student Council (article in Dutch). At the moment I am studying Systems and Network Engineering.

In short I like Python (asyncio is great btw), Ansible, Terraform and automating stuff in general. I intend to use this blog to write about anything about building, maintaining and provisioning systems.

I am learning NixOS, Rust, Nomad and other tools.
